Ibanez AEG50

The Ibanez AEG50 is a compact acoustic-electric guitar from the AEG Series, featuring Ibanez’s slim Grand Concert-style AEG body with a soft Venetian cutaway. Its spruce top delivers clear, articulate acoustic response, while the Okoume back and sides provide a warm, woody character with strong projection when strummed. The guitar features a Comfort Grip Nyatoh neck with a Laurel fretboard, 20 frets and a 634 mm (25") scale length. Its 43 mm nut width and 400 mm fretboard radius provide a comfortable playing feel, while the 11 mm string spacing supports both chord work and melodic playing. The onboard Ibanez T-bar II undersaddle pickup works with the AEQ-TTS preamp to provide amplified acoustic sound with simple tone shaping and an integrated LCD tuner.

For amplified use, the AEG50 is equipped with a 1/4" output jack and runs on a single 9V battery. Chrome die-cast tuning machines with an 18:1 gear ratio provide stable tuning, while Ibanez Advantage bridge pins make string changes easier and help keep the strings securely seated. The guitar is finished in a high-gloss finish depending on the available colour variant, with an acrylic soundhole rosette and white-dot fretboard inlays.
