Ibanez A527 Alpha
Product details
Ibanez A527 Alpha
The Ibanez A527 is a 7-string multi-scale electric guitar from the Alpha series, designed specifically for extended-range and technical playing. Its American Basswood body provides a balanced, relatively neutral tonal foundation, while the distinctive Alpha body incorporates sculpted elbow and rear contours for improved comfort and playing stability. The 5-piece Maple/Walnut Parallel Wizard AS-7 neck maintains an even 21 mm thickness while using an asymmetric profile that encourages a natural hand position, making techniques such as sweeping and string skipping more comfortable. (ibanez.com)
The A527 features an extended 27.2" to 25.5" multi-scale layout, providing a longer scale for the low seventh string while retaining a familiar scale length toward the treble side. Its Fishman Fluence Modern active humbuckers use an Alnico 8 pickup at the neck and Ceramic 8 pickup at the bridge. A dedicated Fluence Voicing switch provides three distinct voicing options, ranging from full humbucker tones to clearer, more single-coil-like sounds. The three-way pickup selector and multi-voice electronics give the A527 considerable tonal flexibility for progressive, modern rock and metal applications. (ibanez.com)
The A527 uses an Ebony fingerboard with Mother-of-Pearl step-offset dot inlays and 24 jumbo stainless-steel frets for smooth bends, fast articulation and excellent durability. Its Mono-rail G2 bridge individually isolates each string to improve note separation and reduce unwanted string-to-string interference, while supporting either string-through or top-loading installation. Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads provide secure tuning stability and faster string changes. Luminescent side dots improve visibility on dark stages, and the guitar is supplied with a gig bag. The model is available in Nebula Shift and Iron Pewter finishes with black hardware. (ibanez.com)
