Ibanez AZ2204AG Prestige
Product details
Ibanez AZ2204AG Prestige
The Ibanez AZ2204AG is a Japanese-made Prestige electric guitar that combines a modern AZ platform with an Ash body, roasted Maple neck and highly versatile HSS electronics. The Ash body provides a naturally bright response with strong sustain and clear articulation, while the AZ Oval C S-TECH WOOD Roasted Maple neck and matching fingerboard offer a smooth, comfortable playing feel. Its ergonomic body contours and Super All Access Neck Joint make the instrument comfortable in both seated and standing positions while providing easy access to the upper frets.
The AZ2204AG is equipped with Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickups in an HSS configuration, with single-coils in the neck and middle positions and a humbucker at the bridge. The dyna-MIX9 switching system with Alter Switch provides nine tonal combinations, including series-connected neck and middle pickups that can function as a humbucker-style voice. The Hyperion pickups use Alnico-5 magnets and moderate output to maintain clarity, pick attack and tonal balance with clean, overdriven and distorted sounds, making the guitar particularly versatile for effects-heavy setups.
Hardware includes a Gotoh T1802 tremolo bridge with machined titanium saddles and a steel tremolo block, providing responsive attack and a broad tonal response. Gotoh Magnum Lock machine heads with H.A.P. allow both secure string locking and adjustment of individual string-post height. The roasted Maple fingerboard features black dot inlays, Luminlay side dots and 22 jumbo stainless-steel frets with Prestige fret-edge treatment. The AZ2204AG is available in Tri Fade Burst and Transparent Gray Burst finishes, both with gold hardware, and is supplied with an Ibanez hardshell case.
