Ibanez AZ2402 Prestige
Product details
Ibanez AZ2402 Prestige
The Ibanez AZ2402 is a Japanese-made Prestige electric guitar designed for players who want modern versatility, refined construction and a comfortable, performance-focused playing feel. Its Alder body is paired with an AZ Oval C S-TECH WOOD Roasted Maple neck and matching Roasted Maple fingerboard, providing a balanced tonal response with clear articulation and sustain. The ergonomic AZ body features a shallow rear contour and pronounced forearm contour, while the Super All Access Neck Joint provides comfortable access to all 24 frets. (Ibanez)
The AZ2402 uses a dual-humbucker configuration with Seymour Duncan Hyperion passive/Alnico pickups at the neck and bridge. These pickups are voiced with moderate output, maintaining clarity and definition while handling distortion and effects effectively. Ibanez's dyna-MIX10 switching system with Alter Switch provides ten tonal variations, including Power Tap operation that produces a convincing single-coil-style response from the two-humbucker layout. This gives the AZ2402 a broad tonal range suitable for clean, overdriven and high-gain applications. (Ibanez)
The guitar is equipped with a Gotoh T1802 tremolo bridge featuring machined titanium saddles and a machined steel tremolo block, designed for quick response, strong low-end and articulate high frequencies. Gotoh Magnum Lock machine heads with H.A.P. provide secure tuning stability and adjustable string-post height. The S-TECH WOOD Roasted Maple fingerboard has black dot inlays, Luminlay side dots and 24 jumbo stainless-steel frets with Prestige fret-edge treatment. Available finishes vary by market and production year, including Tri Fade Burst Flat, Pearl White Flat, Black Flat, Apple Green Metallic, Gray Metallic and Roadster Orange Metallic. A hardshell case is included. (Ibanez)
