Ibanez IEGS61

The Ibanez IEGS61 is a 6-string electric guitar string set featuring a Regular Light gauge and nickel-wound construction. Designed for standard electric guitar use, it offers a balanced combination of playability, tension, and tonal response. The Regular Light configuration provides more body and resistance than Super Light strings while remaining comfortable for everyday playing, making it suitable for rhythm, lead, chords, and general electric guitar performance.

The set uses .010, .013, .017, .026, .036, and .046 gauges, providing a conventional Regular Light setup across all six strings. This gauge combination offers a versatile feel for players who want reliable string tension while retaining enough flexibility for bends, vibrato, and lead techniques. It is designed for 6-string electric guitars and is also part of Ibanez's broader electric guitar string lineup.

The IEGS61 uses nickel-wound construction, a standard choice for electric guitar strings that provides a versatile response across amplified guitar applications. Its Regular Light specification makes it a practical replacement set for players looking for a balanced string setup for practice, recording, rehearsals, and live performance. It should not be confused with the IEGS61MK, which uses the same gauges but is specifically intended for Ibanez miKro 22.2-inch-scale guitars.
