Ibanez IEGS6HG

The Ibanez IEGS6HG is a 6-string electric guitar string set designed in a Hybrid Light configuration. It combines lighter treble strings with heavier bass strings to provide a versatile playing feel, making it suitable for players who want easy bending and lead work on the higher strings while retaining greater firmness and definition on the lower strings. The strings use nickel-wound construction for electric guitar applications.

The Hybrid Light configuration uses .009, .011, and .016 gauges on the three highest strings, paired with .026, .036, and .046 gauges on the lower three strings. This setup provides a useful balance between comfortable playability on the treble side and increased tension and stability on the bass side. It is well suited to players who alternate between lead playing, bends, chords, riffs, and rhythm work.

The IEGS6HG features nickel-wound construction and is part of Ibanez's IEGS electric guitar string range, which includes sets for different string counts and playing requirements. The hybrid gauge makes this set particularly useful for guitarists who want a lighter top end without sacrificing the stronger feel of heavier lower strings.
