Ibanez IEGS7

The Ibanez IEGS7 is a 7-string electric guitar string set designed with a Super Light gauge for players who want a comfortable and responsive playing feel across an extended-range instrument. Its nickel-wound construction is designed for electric guitar applications, offering a versatile setup for rhythm, lead, riffs, chords, and modern extended-range playing.

The Super Light configuration provides relatively light tension on the six conventional strings while adding a dedicated seventh low string for extended-range playing. The gauges are .009, .011, .016, .024, .032, .042, and .054, giving players easy access to bends and expressive techniques while maintaining a practical low-string configuration for heavier riffs and lower-register parts.

The IEGS7 uses nickel-wound construction and is specifically configured as a 7-string set rather than a standard 6-string set. It is suitable as a replacement set for compatible 7-string electric guitars and is particularly useful for players who prefer the lighter feel of a Super Light setup while taking advantage of the additional range provided by a seventh string.
