Ibanez MDM1305-NAB Mode
Product details
Ibanez MDM1305-NAB Mode
The Ibanez MDM1305-NAB is a 5-string electric bass from the Mode series, designed to combine familiar Jazz Bass-inspired tonal characteristics with modern ergonomics, extended tonal control and contemporary construction. Its Ash body provides a clear, articulate response with a strong fundamental, while the MDM5 Roasted Maple neck and Roasted Maple fingerboard offer a smooth, stable playing surface. The ergonomic MDM body and comfortable 34-inch long-scale design provide good balance and access across the 24-fret range, making it suitable for both stage and studio use.
The MDM1305-NAB features a pair of passive Ibanez Delta S5J hum-cancelling pickups, delivering clear, balanced tones with low noise and a broad usable frequency range. Its Ibanez Sonitech S preamp provides active 3-band EQ control, while the push/pull master tone control allows the electronics to be bypassed for passive operation. The Hexa Mid system provides six selectable midrange frequencies across two frequency banks: 250 Hz, 450 Hz and 850 Hz in the low bank, and 350 Hz, 600 Hz and 1 kHz in the high bank. This extensive midrange control allows the bass to be shaped for punch, warmth, definition or stronger presence in a mix. (ibanez.com)
Hardware includes an MR5S bridge with 18 mm string spacing and Ibanez AeroLight machine heads, designed to reduce unnecessary headstock weight while maintaining reliable tuning. The Roasted Maple fingerboard has 24 medium stainless-steel frets, black dot inlays and luminescent side dots for visibility in low-light conditions. A detachable finger ramp is included for players who prefer a defined reference point for fingerstyle technique. The Natural Stained Amber Burst finish is paired with black hardware, and the bass is supplied with an Ibanez gig bag. (ibanez.com)
