Product details
Ibanez MDM1605-NML Mode
The Ibanez MDM1605-NML is a 5-string electric bass from Ibanez's Mode series, designed to combine a modern ergonomic body with versatile electronics and a comfortable extended-range playing experience. Its Alder body is topped with figured Poplar Burl, providing a balanced, bright tonal character with enhanced resonance and sustain. The MDM5 Roasted Maple neck is paired with a Rosewood fingerboard and a Super All Access Neck Joint, while the specially shaped MDM body is designed for balance and comfortable access across all 24 frets. The bass features a pair of passive Ibanez Delta S5J pickups, designed to deliver an aggressive yet balanced single-coil-style character while maintaining clear response across the frequency range. An Ibanez Sonitech S preamp provides active 3-band EQ control, with a push/pull EQ bypass that allows the player to switch between active EQ operation and passive tone control. The integrated Hexa Mid system adds six selectable mid-frequency centres through two frequency banks and a 3-way selector, providing extensive control over the instrument's midrange response for different playing environments and musical styles. The MDM1605-NML uses an MR5S bridge with 18 mm string spacing and Ibanez Aero-light machine heads, combining reliable tuning control with a comfortable string layout. Its Rosewood fingerboard has 24 medium stainless-steel frets, while luminescent side dots improve visibility during low-light performances. A detachable finger ramp is included for players who prefer a defined finger-picking reference point. The Natural Mocha Low Gloss finish is complemented by black hardware, and the bass is supplied with an Ibanez gig bag. (ibanez.com)
