Ibanez PTEQ

The Ibanez PTEQ Pentatone Equalizer is a 5-band fully parametric equalizer pedal designed for detailed and flexible tone shaping. It is the standalone version of the five-band EQ section found in the Ibanez Pentatone Preamp, giving players precise control over selected frequency ranges. Its wide-headroom ±9V internal power circuit also allows it to work effectively with electric guitars, basses, and keyboards.

Each of the five EQ bands provides independent frequency, level, and continuously variable Q controls. The frequency controls select the center frequency, the sliders provide up to ±10 dB of boost or cut, and the Q controls adjust the bandwidth from broad to narrow. The five frequency bands cover Low, Low-Mid, Mid, High-Mid, and High ranges for detailed tonal adjustment.

A Master Level control adjusts the overall output from -∞ dB to +6 dB, allowing the PTEQ to function for both precise equalization and overall signal boosting. It features True Bypass switching, standard Input and Output connections, and can be powered by a 9V battery or an external center-negative 9V DC adapter.
