Ibanez PTGATE

The Ibanez PTGATE is a Pentatone noise gate pedal designed to reduce unwanted noise in an electric guitar signal chain while maintaining quick response and natural sustain. It is the standalone version of the gate section from the Ibanez Pentatone Preamp and provides straightforward threshold control in a compact pedal format.

The pedal uses a single Threshold control to determine when the gate begins reducing or muting the signal. A High/Low Threshold Mode switch changes the available threshold range, allowing the gate to respond appropriately to different signal levels and playing setups.

A key feature of the PTGATE is its four I/O jacks: Guitar In, Guitar Out, Gate In, and Gate Out. This allows the guitar signal to pass through normally while placing the noise-gate circuit at a different point in the signal chain, such as after a distortion pedal or within an amplifier's effects loop. True Bypass switching and 9V operation make it practical for pedalboard use.
