Ibanez RGDMS8-CSM

The Ibanez RGDMS8-CSM is an 8-string multi-scale electric guitar from the RGD series, developed for extended-range players who require tight low-end response, balanced string tension and precise articulation. It features a 5-piece Maple/Walnut Wizard III-8 Multi Scale neck, an Okoume body and a Macassar Ebony fretboard with 24 jumbo frets. Its 692mm (27.3") to 648mm (25.5") multi-scale design provides increased tension on the lower strings while maintaining a comfortable feel on the higher strings.

The guitar is equipped with Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker Alnico 9 at the neck and Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker Ceramic 9 at the bridge. These active pickups provide powerful attack, tight low frequencies and clear articulation, making the guitar particularly suitable for modern metal, progressive metal and other extended-range styles. A coil-tap switch adds further tonal variation, while the push/pull volume control activates the Fishman Fluence voicing function for an additional pickup voice.

For stable performance, the RGDMS8 uses individual Mono-Rail bridges, which help minimize unwanted vibration transfer between strings. Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads provide reliable tuning stability and faster string changes. The Classic Silver Matte (CSM) finish is paired with gold hardware, while the Macassar Ebony fretboard and white offset-dot inlays give the guitar a distinctive performance-oriented appearance.
