The RGMS8-BK is equipped with Ibanez Array 8 MS passive ceramic humbuckers, designed to deliver a tight, low-noise response that remains articulate in low tunings. The 5-way pickup selector offers five pickup combinations, including parallel and combined pickup configurations, giving players greater tonal flexibility for rhythm, lead and clean passages. The Wizard III-8 neck and 400mm radius are designed to support fast and precise playing across the 24-fret fretboard.

A set of individual Mono-Rail bridges provides stable string positioning while helping minimize unwanted vibration transfer between strings. The 55mm nut accommodates the additional eighth string, while Cosmo Black hardware complements the Black (BK) finish. The guitar is factory equipped with D'Addario EXL120+.059+.080 strings and tuned to D#-A#-F#-C#-G#-D#-A#-F, making it particularly suitable for extended-range and down-tuned applications.
