Ibanez TS808

The Ibanez TS808 Tube Screamer is the original Tube Screamer model and one of the most recognized overdrive pedals in electric guitar history. The current TS808 is made in Japan and is designed around the classic Tube Screamer overdrive character, delivering a warm, smooth, and responsive driven tone suitable for rhythm playing, lead tones, and pushing an amplifier into overdrive.

The TS808 uses three controls—Overdrive, Tone, and Level. Overdrive adjusts the amount of distortion, Tone controls the high-frequency character from brighter to mellower sounds, and Level sets the volume of the effected signal. Its classic control layout keeps operation simple while providing useful control over the intensity and tonal balance of the overdrive.

The pedal features standard 1/4-inch input and output connections and can be powered by a 9V battery or an external DC 9V center-negative adapter. The current model measures 70 × 125 × 52 mm and requires approximately 8 mA at 9V, making it compact enough for conventional pedalboards while retaining the familiar full-size Tube Screamer format.
