The Martin D-28E Modern Deluxe is a premium Dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar that combines the legendary power of the D-28 with refined Modern Deluxe construction and stage-ready electronics. Its solid spruce top with Vintage Tone System® (VTS) treatment and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides deliver deep bass, clear highs, rich overtones, and exceptional projection, making it equally suited to strumming, flatpicking, recording, and live performance.

The D-28E Modern Deluxe features forward-shifted Golden Era-style scalloped X-bracing made from VTS-treated Adirondack spruce, allowing the soundboard to respond with enhanced resonance, sustain, and dynamic range. Natural protein glue construction and a lightweight carbon-fiber bridge plate further improve energy transfer and clarity. Its 25.4-inch scale length, Vintage Deluxe neck profile, High-Performance Taper, and 1 3/4-inch nut width provide a comfortable and responsive playing experience.

For amplified performance, the D-28E Modern Deluxe is equipped with a Fishman Aura VT Blend pickup system. Premium Modern Deluxe appointments include European flamed maple binding, a European flamed maple heelcap, EVO gold frets, Liquidmetal® bridge pins with red acrylic dots, and Waverly® gold open-gear tuning machines with butterbean knobs.
