The Martin SC-28E is a premium Standard Series acoustic-electric guitar that combines traditional Martin tonewoods and styling with the innovative playability of the SC design. Its solid spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides deliver deep bass, rich overtones, clear highs, and strong projection, while the S-13 Fret Cutaway body provides exceptional comfort and unrestricted access to the upper frets.

The SC-28E features Martin's patented Sure Align® Linear Dovetail Neck Joint and a Low Profile Velocity neck with High-Performance Taper, creating a smooth, comfortable playing experience from the first position to the highest frets. Its Tone Tension X-Bracing, including a treble-side scalloped X and scalloped tone bars, enhances the responsiveness of the soundboard, while the internal soundboard recurve adds additional bass response.

For amplified performance, the SC-28E comes equipped with Fishman Aura VT Blend electronics, with an LR Baggs Anthem option also available. Its gloss spruce top features Aging Toner, complemented by East Indian rosewood back and sides, an ebony fingerboard and bridge, Style 28 mother-of-pearl inlays, antique white binding, tortoise-pattern pickguard, and nickel open-gear tuning machines with butterbean knobs. A molded hardshell case is included.
