Novation Bass Station II
Product details
Novation Bass Station II Analogue Synthesizer
The Novation Bass Station II is a versatile digitally controlled analogue synthesizer designed to deliver powerful basses, expressive leads, punchy sequences, and a wide range of classic and modern synth sounds. Building on the character of the original Bass Station, it features two analogue oscillators, a dedicated sub-oscillator, dual analogue filters, flexible modulation, and a hands-on control layout that makes sound design intuitive and immediate.
Its two oscillators offer four selectable waveforms, while the additional sub-oscillator provides extra low-end weight. The synth features two distinct analogue filters, including the Classic filter with low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass modes and the Acid filter for aggressive, resonant tones. Dual LFOs, two envelopes, oscillator sync, ring modulation, noise generation, portamento, overdrive, and distortion provide extensive options for shaping and transforming sounds.
The Bass Station II is equally suited to live performance and studio production, with a 25-note velocity-sensitive keyboard featuring aftertouch, pitch and modulation wheels, a 32-step arpeggiator, and a 32-step sequencer with four sequence memories. AFX Mode and Paraphonic Mode further expand its capabilities, while USB and traditional 5-pin MIDI connectivity allow easy integration with computers, hardware synthesizers, and other MIDI equipment.
