Its compact 37-note velocity-sensitive keyboard makes it highly portable while retaining enough range for expressive performance.

The MiniNova provides 14 filter types, multiple synthesis modes, and an integrated digital effects section with up to five simultaneous effects per voice. Four assignable rotary controls provide immediate access to key sound parameters, while the eight Animate buttons add real-time performance control for transforming patches and creating dynamic variations. With 256 factory patches and storage for 128 user patches, the MiniNova offers a broad palette of basses, leads, pads, keys, arpeggios, and other sounds.

One of the MiniNova's standout features is its integrated 12-band vocoder with the included dynamic gooseneck microphone. VocalTune can automatically tune an incoming vocal signal to notes played on the keyboard, while the external audio input allows other instruments and audio sources to be processed through the synthesizer's filters and effects. MIDI connectivity, USB power, dedicated audio outputs, and a headphone output make the MiniNova equally suitable for studio setups and live performance rigs.
