SR300EL-IPT
Product details
Ibanez SR300EL-IPT
The Ibanez SR300EL-IPT is a left-handed 4-string electric bass from the Soundgear SR series, designed for players who want the comfortable, slim profile of the SR platform in a dedicated left-handed configuration. The model features an SR4 5-piece Maple/Walnut neck, Jatoba fretboard with white dot inlays and a 34-inch scale length with 24 medium frets. The SR body shape provides easy access across the fretboard while maintaining a compact, balanced feel. (Ibanez)
The SR300EL-IPT uses a pair of passive PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups, combined with Ibanez Custom Electronics featuring a 3-band EQ and 3-way Power Tap switch. Tap mode provides a more articulate, single-coil-style character, Series mode produces a fuller humbucking tone, and Power Tap combines clarity with stronger low-end response. The onboard bass, mid and treble controls provide additional tonal shaping. (B&H Photo Video)
The bass is fitted with an Accu-cast B120 bridge with 19 mm string spacing and Cosmo Black hardware. The Iron Pewter (IPT) finish gives the instrument a dark metallic appearance. The SR300EL was produced specifically for left-handed players and is a discontinued model, with documented production versions differing slightly in body and neck materials across production years.
