Ibanez SR305EB

The Ibanez SR305EB is a 5-string electric bass from the Soundgear SR series, designed around Ibanez’s slim, ergonomic SR body for comfortable extended playing. It features a 5-piece Maple/Walnut SR5 neck, an Okoume body and a Jatoba fretboard with white dot inlays. The 864 mm (34-inch) scale, 45 mm nut width and 24 medium frets provide a familiar long-scale feel while accommodating the extended range of the low-B string. (Ibanez)

The SR305EB is equipped with dual passive PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups and Ibanez Custom Electronics with a 3-band EQ and 3-way Power Tap switch. The three pickup modes provide different tonal characteristics: Tap mode offers a more articulate sound, Series mode produces a fuller humbucking character, and Power Tap combines the clarity of the tapped sound with additional low-end response. The onboard bass, mid and treble controls provide further tonal adjustment. (Ibanez)

For dependable string support, the bass uses an Accu-cast B125 bridge with 16.5 mm string spacing and black hardware. It is factory tuned G-D-A-E-B and comes fitted with D’Addario EXL165 strings with a .130 low-B string. The current model is available in Weathered Black (WK) and Walnut Flat (WNF), depending on market and production version. (Ibanez)
