Ibanez SR605E

The Ibanez SR605E is a 5-string electric bass guitar from the Ibanez SR series, designed for players who want extended low-end range, comfortable ergonomics and flexible tonal control. The SR605E is equipped with a pair of Nordstrand Big Break passive pickups, which combine a powerful, full-bodied character with clear articulation and a noiseless performance. Its Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ provides control over bass, midrange and treble, while the dedicated 3-way mid-frequency switch lets players select 250 Hz, 450 Hz or 700 Hz as the centre frequency for the mid control. An EQ bypass switch also enables passive operation, with the treble control becoming a global passive tone control when the active EQ is bypassed. (Ibanez)

The bass features a Black Stained Burst (BKT) finish with black hardware and abalone oval fretboard inlays. Its Accu-cast B505 bridge uses adjustable saddles that allow string spacing to be varied by approximately ±1.5 mm from the standard 16.5 mm spacing. The instrument is supplied with D'Addario EXL165 + .130 strings and is factory tuned to standard 5-string bass tuning. Ibanez recommends the MB300C case and IBB540-BK gig bag for the SR605E.
