Yamaha CLP-885B Black Clavinova Digital Piano

The Yamaha CLP-885B is the flagship upright-style model in the Clavinova CLP-800 Series, designed to provide an exceptionally realistic grand-piano playing experience with the convenience of a digital instrument. Its GrandTouch keyboard uses wooden white keys, synthetic ebony and ivory keytops, escapement and 88-key Linear Graded Hammers, delivering a highly responsive and nuanced touch across the entire keyboard. Counterweights in the action further enhance control, particularly during soft and delicate passages.

The CLP-885B features detailed Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial concert grand piano sounds, supported by Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) and Grand Expression Modeling. These technologies recreate the complex resonances of an acoustic piano and respond dynamically to the player's touch, pedaling and playing technique. Binaural Sampling provides an immersive headphone experience, while 256-note maximum polyphony allows complex passages and sustained notes to be reproduced naturally.

The instrument also combines a powerful three-way speaker system with diffusers, a full-dot LCD display and touch-sensor controls for intuitive operation. It provides 53 instrument voices, 480 XG voices and 14 Drum/SFX kits, along with 20 rhythms, Dual, Split and Duo modes, Bluetooth Audio and MIDI, USB Audio connectivity, extensive recording functions and Piano Room features. Its GrandTouch pedals include GP Response Damper technology, while the folding key cover and refined Black finish complement its premium cabinet design.
