Yamaha P-S500B Portable Smart Digital Piano – Black

The Yamaha P-S500B Portable Smart Digital Piano combines expressive piano performance with intelligent learning features and versatile accompaniment tools. Finished in sleek black, it features an 88-key Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard with matte black keytops, delivering a weighted playing feel suitable for beginners and experienced pianists alike. Its premium piano sounds are sampled from Yamaha’s CFX concert grand and Bösendorfer Imperial concert grand, while Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM), key-off samples and binaural sampling for the CFX Grand voice create a rich, immersive playing experience. Its slim, portable design makes it suitable for home practice, music studios, lessons and live performances.

One of the P-S500B’s standout features is its Stream Lights system, which illuminates above the keys to show players which notes to play, helping them learn songs even without reading traditional music notation. When connected to the Yamaha Smart Pianist app, the instrument provides access to 660 Voices, 370 accompaniment Styles and 403 preset songs, along with advanced recording, lesson and customisation functions. Audio To Score can generate piano accompaniment scores from compatible audio songs, while automatic accompaniment, Dual and Split modes expand performance possibilities. The instrument also includes Vocal Harmony, which can add harmonies to a microphone performance, making it suitable for singers, entertainers and solo musicians.

Designed for flexible music-making, the Yamaha P-S500B features built-in speakers powered by a dual amplifier system, two headphone outputs for quiet practice, and microphone input for singing. USB TO HOST and USB TO DEVICE ports support compatible computers, smart devices and storage devices, while AUX IN and AUX OUT connections provide additional audio options. The Smart Pianist app offers convenient touchscreen control and access to expanded features, with some functions available only when connected. The instrument includes a music rest and footswitch, while the matching stand and dedicated three-pedal unit are available separately depending on the package. Its compact body and versatile features make it a powerful choice for learning, composing, accompanying and performing.
