Yamaha U1 Acoustic Piano

The Yamaha U1 Acoustic Piano is a professional-quality upright piano renowned for its clear, full-bodied tone, responsive touch and dependable performance. Standing 121 cm tall, it is part of Yamaha’s celebrated U Series, designed to deliver expressive musical control and consistent tonal balance for students, experienced pianists, teachers and professional musicians. Its traditional cabinet design makes it suitable for homes, music schools, studios and teaching institutions.

The U1 features a spruce soundboard and carefully designed soundboard ribs that help produce a rich, resonant tone across its 88-key range. Specially designed U Series hammers, carefully crafted bass strings and a precision-engineered action provide responsive playability, allowing pianists to perform with control over dynamics and articulation. The V-Pro cast-iron frame and five spruce back posts contribute to the instrument’s structural stability and long-term reliability.

Designed for comfortable everyday use, the Yamaha U1 includes acrylic resin white keys, phenolic resin black keys and three pedals for damper, muffler and soft functions. Its soft-close fallboard helps prevent the keyboard cover from closing abruptly, while the polished cabinet offers a classic, elegant appearance. Combining acoustic depth with reliable construction, the U1 is suited to both disciplined practice and expressive performance.
