Yamaha U3 Acoustic Piano

The Yamaha U3 Acoustic Piano is the tallest and most distinguished model in Yamaha’s renowned U Series of upright acoustic pianos. Standing 131 cm high, the U3 is designed to deliver greater tonal depth, projection and expressive control than smaller upright models, making it an excellent choice for serious pianists, music teachers, institutions, studios and demanding home players.

Its larger cabinet accommodates an expansive soundboard and longer bass strings, helping produce a warm, powerful and well-balanced acoustic tone with strong projection. Yamaha’s U Series action is engineered for smooth, sensitive playability, allowing the pianist to control subtle changes in dynamics and articulation across the full 88-key range. High-quality materials and Yamaha’s long-established manufacturing techniques also contribute to the instrument’s consistent performance and durability.

The U3 features acrylic resin white keys, phenolic resin black keys and three pedals for Damper, Sostenuto and Soft functions. A V-Pro cast-iron frame and robust cabinet construction provide the structural foundation required for stable performance, while the soft-close fallboard adds convenience and protection. Finished in Polished Ebony, the U3 combines traditional upright piano aesthetics with the tonal and playing capabilities expected from a professional-quality instrument.
